I've just seen that the level 2 domestic installers course is no longer recognised as of March 2011.

Is this correct? and if so, how long have people been aware of this?
I've spent £7000 on a course that will give me this and ifs its already no bloody use im going to insulation test someones genitals.

it's being replaced by a level 3 qualification instead. you can still register for the level 2 qual up to end dec 2011.are you aware that the only actual qualification you need to join elecsa's part p scheme is 17th ed regs. you only need to be able to demonstrate ability to test and inspect on the assessment day.

The more I here about these domestic installer courses the more ardent I become about getting rid of them for the sake of our noble industry and the householder!
