so the other day i was install 2 400v commando sockets and after I'd finished testing my modular interchangeable bit and handle no were to be seen or found out of a set so no I have to get a new one ,

Any one else lost anything recently on the job ?

Not lost tools related, but tools none the less :)

Just picked up my first 110v transformer and angle grinder... even treated myself to a 110v extension lead, can't wait to try them out on a renovation project I'm starting tomorrow :D

Lost tool related though, I did nearly put my Knipex installation pliers at the bottom of an 8ft cavity... thankfully a Wagobox acted as stunt double for the fall and alerted me to the presence of said cavity... all tools perched on the edge were quickly retrieved :)

When involved in a rewire always check you tools before relaying any flor boards you have had up during the rewire. I lost a wonderful pair of Eliot Lucas Pliers, the ones with the thick red insulation, under a floor, never did find them, gutted.

What's the renovation project? I've just finished one in Cornwall and hoping to start on in Wales just as soon as I find the right place

An existing customer wants to convert a dilapidated outhouse into a man cave and office. It's not huge, but it's a new sub-board, couple of socket circuits, lighting circuit, heater circuit and all that goes with it. And of course a few changes from the original specification... no job would be complete without them :D

It's all getting a bit tight in the corner where the CU is going, so just been to pick it up to make sure everything is good. Important thing is I have site power sorted (disconnected the old CU and slapped a metal clad socket on the end of the SWA supplying the building), must have music on a long job like this :)

Where are you looking in Wales? I know a good spark (or two) in the area if you need assistance ;)

I bought the Makita site radio last Christmas, one of the best purchases I've made

I'm looking round the north Pembrokeshire area, possibly a little further up towards the Brecon Beacons. The plan is to get somewhere with a couple of old outbuildings to convert into holiday lets.
