Can anyone help me I'm trying to release door access mag lock , voltage optimist installed at weekend and the fobs arnt opening some doors and the supply is inside the room I can access.. Can anyone tell me how to open these mag locks or give me reason why some arnt working aand some are.... Could voltage optimiser have caused this..

Exactly Stranded, cant understand all this business on pulling doors apart...total looney tunes..! Hopefully it is connected to fire alarm, then this is simple bypass job, if door access keypad is self contained, then another bypass job, if door access is computer networked, then can be opened from computer program as fire or security alert. No need to bash holes...!!

Exactly! Press drill then silence the panel straight after, door will be open till panel is reset, (if it was a fire relay operated door lock) go in the room, press the door release glass, reset fire panel and then reset the door access break glass when problem is fixed! No reason it wouldnt be connected to the alarm unless fitted by a plumber...

Evacuate button by regs, wont activate fire relay, relay will only operate by call point or detector. Not quite sure on why the bs & en insisted on manufactures doing this, but they must have a motive

Ahh, forgot about that one actually... Good point Tazz... Bit strange to be honest that they design it that way...You want to evacuate people but they cant get through the door....anyway... Then looks like a callpoint could get things going..if you have no key, someone on the premesis is bound to if they do their weekly tests like they should. Also, making sure the panel is not connected to fire services etc of course, no need to cause another problem ;)
