I have been asked to install a doorbell system which has 1 door push and 4 chimes
i cant seem to find a suitable system which allows this.

can i use a normal doorbell system and just loop the chimes, but will the transformer be big enough.

any links you have or advise would be great

thanks :)

just seen the post mate. yes you can parallel all the chimes up, might have to fit a bigger tranny though. suggest powering up with a 12v alarm battery and measuring the current drawn ( it's dc so you can't use a clamp meter. use mulimeter )

Most of the wireless bell systems use a dip switch to set a code so that your door bell does not ring every time next door gets a visitor. You could get 1 push and 4 recievers all set to the same code. Each is then battery controlled with a typical battery life of over 2 years.
If the bell wire is good for the extra current you could use a LV lighting transformer instead of the bell transformer.
