Dear all,
Has anyone come accross a double immersion hot water tank. How did you supply it 2x16A circuits. Maybe a 32A circuit split into 2 with 2x 20A double pole switches. I have only come across singles before, so im trying to find the best solution as i only have 1 spare way at present.

Its a pretty sad state of affairs when FCU's are burning out before the 13A fuse in them pops IMO.

A FCU SHOULD be up to the task really but I understand people's concern, I've never seen one burnt out by immersion load myself but I have heard of it happening.

32A submain feeding 2 x 16A radials would be the ultimate solution but trying to convince customer he needs and extra DB just to feed his emergency back up immersions might leave a sour taste.

Luckily its a mate, but i agree with you.
Its a pain in the butt, but i will probably use 20dp switches, From a 32A feet into a cu as im not sure i will be overloading adding another 32A on the board.
I have a garage to supply power too so may install a second split load board.
