Hello everybody! Can you please advice if there is regulation for TV socket installations? What height suppose to be and where it supposed to be located, behind Tv or lower than TV. Please advice guys. Thank you!

It most depends on your height of your skirting board from upwards,
Most would up up from there are 10 inches from the floor level, you could go
Up to 450cm building control.
You can put them up higher.

Hello guys! The height of the double socket i need for tv and tv aerial is 1600mm the center of the socket. can this be done on that height or its way too high? What it usual height of wall mounted tv please?

For general purpose sockets the recommended heights are in the guidance notes.
it is all about not discriminating against disabled people.

however in my opinion, this doesn't mean that a socket can only be fitted at those heights, any socket that has a dedicated use should be fitted where it is needed, i.e. behind the tv or above a kitchen cabinet for an extractor etc.

It could be argued that if you put a socket in a difficult to reach location, at the very least you should give due consideration as to weather it would be appropriate to fit a switch (isolator) for the socket in an accessible location.

Hello guys! The height of the double socket i need for tv and tv aerial is 1600mm
We do some work for a supplier of high end audio/cinema equipment and they always recommend 1350-1400 as the optimum height to view a wall mounted tv from sitting position (that would be one third the height of the screen). Depending on size 1600mm could well be within the overall frame screen size but as pointed out in post #3 try not to clash with the bracket.
