Double socket on the same wall as light switch

Hello guys! Just a quick question, is it good practice to place a socket on the same wall where the light switch is? Customer wanted socket on the same wall where light switch is. In my experience I have never seen sockets on the same wall as light switch. Please give me advice guys. Thank you.

It’s sometimes and advantage as you can get cables for both, down the same chase in the wall.

There is no reason not to put sockets wherever you like….

It’s worse to put a socket somewhere that’s never going to be used…

I have put one adjacent to a light switch no problem.

I don't think a socket outlet in a shower would be a good idea.

The one problem that can arise is 'safe zones'. If a single socket is placed directly under a light switch and all cables come from above, how do you get the cables to the socket past the switch with them remaining in an approved safe zone?
