Hi all,

I need your help. I have installed double socket box for washing machine and tumble dryer and have two separate fused feeds for these. But I cannot find a double socket that could be connected using two individual feeds. If you know a specific product please can you share? At this point I'm wondering whether such a thing exists.

Thanks,

AJ

There are boxes available to fit 2 single sockets.
However there are not double sockets with 2 separate feeds available

Click new media looks like it might do the job with a 2g plate and 2 socket modules.
I have no idea how well they would hold up in the long run with a washer and dryer though.

My own experience of click stuff is that it is cheaply made but inexpensive, very modular and readily available.

Thanks Ferg. Click media would do the job, but reflecting on the quality comment, would you put them in your own home? Or would you rather go through chasing the wall and putting a box that can house two single sockets?

I would chase the wall and fit 2 single sockets. A dual backbox can make fitting easier. Those click modules are soft plastic and feel a bit flimsy. I wouldn't trust them for the heavy loads of washing machines and dryers.
