for those that are not culturally knowledgeable about these things a douch is a little shower, usually located next to a toilet, that the Mohammedans use to wash their bits as opposed to using infidel bog roll.

If a douche is classed as a shower then what would you class as the shower tray, to be 600mm away from.

This has made fitting a saniflow rather puzzling.

The way I’ve gone about it is -

1, Treat the douch as a shower and take my measurements from the toilet pan.
2, As this is a separate toilet, I.e. not in a bathroom, there is nowhere within reach of the sealed flex of the saniflow that is over 600mm away so an IP65 socket has been installed on an RCBO to power the saniflow.

I’d like to know how others would have treated the same situation.

Rather amusing update.

After getting abuse for not putting a plug on saniflow the plumber thought he’d do it himself as “we can’t watch you play with wires all night”..

Left him to it then five minutes later hear a noise like an industrial coffee grinder.

Pops me head round the corner to see them both looking into the bog at the remains of the tools and unused parts that their bone idle apprentice had “tidied up” 15 minutes earlier.

One new saniflow required and god knows how much in tools and parts.

A little bit of wee came out through laughing.

Through wall, flex outlet, or those satellite cable shrouds with plenty silicone...
Just any sensible method that keeps the users safe, so you know what to do!

Some of the comments in this thread are borderline, and I know they are just banter, but there may be some who might take offence...just saying...
I need a recommendation for a decent pop-riveter...my Screwfix jobby has broken after about 20 uses...won't eject the waste, and even using pliers it's hard to get the waste rod out...I don't want or need an industrial lazyjack chap, just a small plier-type...any recommendations welcomed...I should have searched or started a new thread maybe...
es la vida, no?

Consider your virtue well and truly signalled.

My Lidl one is still going strong couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Only used it once mind and it’s not even on my van.

Problem with Lidl, is their tools are only there for a short time. Homebase in Hatfield is closing down with everything reduced.
Think all Homebases are closing down to become Dunnings.

Oh and it’s not a shower, just as a sink is not a bath.

Yeah, good point...Lidl offers on tools etc are transitory.
Our local Homebase closed a couple of months ago, but it's for sale or rent, not becoming a Dunnings (not a brand I've seen north of the border). However, the nice guys at Homebase did give generously to the Men's Shed charity...the manager said we could have their in-store toolkit which was what the maintenance guys used when building displays etc. What clearly happened is the operatives grabbed screwdrivers and whatever they needed from the nearest shelf, used them once for that job and ----ed them in a huge box...all still had their barcode labels on them, and in perfect condition. Mainly screwdrivers, but loads of other kit too, like tape measures, paintbrushes, vice-grips, hammers, etc etc.

Air misted sh.. "Bat man" what is the world coming too.
( if you loose water pressure does it work in reverse back into drinking water )
I learned fairly recently from a discussion I had on the plumbers forum you'd need an LPZ anti backflow valve if it's a hand held shower type head with any kind of water catchment contraption under it or near it.
