Down lights

Hi Guys, I'm fitting six down lights in a stright line down the centre of a hall whats the best way to wire. I was going to diasy chain the lights one to another. Is that Ok. Many thanks.

That is how I would do it, check that the connections in the downlights are easy enough to get 2 T+Es in as some of them are only really made to fit 1.

If not take them through junction/choc boxes and bring a flex to the light.

If possible try and leave the cable as one long run with no cuts in. occasionally if you cant find a cable for whatever reason at least all the lights you can find still work and you can always rod across to the hole with no cable in. It shouldnt really matter with one straight run, but it is something I always try and do and I am sure that one day it will pay off Also when it comes to second fix, get down inxcess and buy yourself a cheap laser line... there is nothing worse than downlights that are all over the place, it is a real eyesore.

Yep agree definately the easiest option, i must have used 200 of these in the last 5 months
