Hi all
had a call last night from a potential customer He has 6 downlights in his bathroom & 3 have stopped working From his description of the two boxes on the loft I assume they are wired 3 lights to one transformer and one transformer has packed up As a rule what would you recommend 1) replace the existing transformer or 2) rewire so that each light has its own transformer ??

Another possibility is that there is loose connection on the first DL of the chain of three and the other two therefore have no supply....or even that he´s got 3 lamps blown (!).

Evening guys
I will of course check for loose connection etc Since reading the responses & from my limited knowledge I dont think I will offer him the option of all three lights on one (I have another customer whos lights regularly go on then off then on then off etc from similar problem I think) I will offer to exchange the three or rewire to run all from individual transformers I might also recommend that he changes the other three as well
