Due to space constraints and equal spacing in the room, there are a couple of instances where the light is right next to and almost touching the joist above. Here is a photo in the loft (attached) and below from kitchen.
My main concern is how much of a fire risk is this? I only found out as I was looking at loftlids that sit on top to hold the insulation above the light and they said they are too close and should be moved.
Obviously it would be a pain and added expense with newly plastered ceilings, with lights not being able to go into an equal spacing.
