Damaged plaster board edges housing dry lining box's any one got any good tips / methods for remedy??

I usually glue a thin piece of ply on th inside of the plaster board to give strength for the pull plate.

How do you get around it??

What exactly is the problem?. There are several methods depending on what is broken. Screw a couple of small battens to the inside edge of the board from the outside and screw a KO box in, this will need a bit of filler to cover the screwheads. Fix the dryline box with expanding foam. And so on.

Cheers........Howard

I tend to do as Sirkit does and screw a couple of battons either side of the hole through the plasterboard screw a knock out box through the sides in to the battons and make good with some gyproc easi fill :)
Cheers Chris.

years ago we had a lady who had been flooded and it had come through the gyprok at a socket with a steel backbox recently decorated flat so we got the joiner to cut an oversized plate and varnish the same looked not bad and saved redecoration She was happy and asked our gaffer(Cooncil) if we could do the restof her living room the same and fit brass sockets (first homer as an apprentice)

yeah same as skirt couple bits of batton screwed, have on occassion just used a thin bit of maybe 5mm ply and screwed to edges thus still being able to use dry line box...but batton and ko seems to be done on most ...
