Does anyone know if E Qualified is any good? Can't post the link as the site won't let me but ÂŁ130 instead of nearly ÂŁ500 seems too good to be true.

Astonishing.

Sites like this are probably why this site gets so many "qualified" people who shouldn't be allowed to use a hammer let alone practice as a sparky

Do you have much practical experience??

I'm a 16th Technician qualified so have always been on site, running up to 2.5 Mil jobs right down to small contracts where it's just me. All industrial/commercial with the odd domestic. Very hands on just qualifications out of date.

The 17th followed by Amendment 1 introduced some fairly big changes....might be worth taking the full course, I'd just try your local college if I were you!

I went with them last year to do my 2382-10. I just wanted to do the exam as I spent 3 1/2 years at college and had a decent understanding of the regs. You pay the money and they let you download information about the exam and give you mock tests etc and then you do your exam. I thought it was perfect for me. Didn't want to spend a fortune on a 3 day course. Passed first time with 92%

i did the 17th edition with E qualified was a good experience ive got my 16th done 3 years at college and really didnt want the hassle of college 2 eves a week and the 400/500 to do it with E qualified they send u all the documents u need on a power point to work through at your own pace and can go back or pause would rather work through at own pass than an idiot from a college with a power point slide falling asleep in the back so worked for me and would recommend

Just wondering what 17th courses are available? Until now I've been told I need to do the full course, but someone told me yesterday I could just do an update course as I'm 16th qualified already for around ÂŁ100. Possibly through the NIC via my employer. Any ideas?

I'm thinking of going on this 'course' , its advertised as C&G2382-12 - Full Course on their website. My local college want ÂŁ350 for a 3 day course and they aren't running any for 2 months which is no good to me. I'm up to speed on the BGB so i just need a quick refresher and then the exam so this course sounds ideal. My only reservation is that they don't even supply a phone number so you can ring and ask details about the course. It says they will supply a number when you enroll but why not put one on their website? I would just book an exam but i cant find any details on how or where to do it, i thought it had to be through a college or training provider.

I was in same situation isnt to good to be true there should be an enrolment link on the site all details are sent through once u enrol if you look on the city and guild web site it's on the list of authootired colleges is a great and cheap way to do it also u will receive a cd rom with all revision and mock exam software

read this people, just do the exam course is a waste of money, but if you are dumb waste your money lol

Do you know of any C&G approved test centers that allow you to just sit the exam? If i could find one i would do it. I'd feel a lot more dumb if i paid ÂŁ350 to sit in a classroom for 3 days watching a powerpoint presentation so at the moment this seems like my best option.

Agree with johnuk the course is a rip off, go on line get some past papers and practice and just pay the ÂŁ45 for the online exam
