Discuss earth bonding in the Electrical Wiring, Theories and Regulations area at ElectriciansForums.net

I was not aware that you knew me how do you know what I can do and what i cant do this started off as a simple question but you have managed to throw your dolls out of the pram do you think you are the only one who can do a rewire

I don't know you, but I do know that you don't know what 'earth bonding' is, you don't know that tests need to be completed before equipotential bonding is installed and you wouldn't even know how to perform these tests.

Am I the only one that can 'do' a rewire? No, but you sure as hell shouldn't be going anywhere near electrics!

In the famous words of five dragons... I'm out!

this is what I have found is it still the same reg or has it been changed

Establish by testing what parts are extraneous conductive and which are just exposed conductive. Refer to BS7671 for clarification. Bond as required.

If you're unsure about any of the requirements please seek advice from someone with more experience. You can't establish what needs bonding by just visually checking the pipework or without testing.

I'm going to close this thread because you're asking a question that's impossible to answer on the forum with the info you have.
