Hi all,

Just thought I would ask some peoples views on this, how do you all feel about twisting the CPC together then putting the sleeving on all of the cables then connecting it into the earth connector.

I absolutely detest this practice and hate coming across this particular making ammendment to a circuit. As far as I know it is not against any regs but would happily make in the next ammenment

It should be banned, anyone caught doing it should be fed to lions.
You should have enough manual dexterity to handle mutiple CPCs into one terminal neatly.

Flippin' heck Son ..... hae ye been readin that dictionary thingy agyen?? Ye'll be takin' yer 11 Plus afore lang if this keeps up!

Manual dexterity??? well aahll be buggered!

Well I meant the regulation number which states that CPCs MUST be separated. I'm assuming you mean in socket outlets but what about lighting circuits where you have one earth terminal but are three plating at the fitting?
What about CUs where the terminals are numbered, how are you going to split them when you need to maintain the order of circuit numbering?
There are many many examples I could use but since these are the easiest.
Come on then bonny lad, let's have it.

I must admit, i do twist the ends together ... but just the ends! I detest people who twist numerous lengths together and put them all in one piece of sleeving.

Seperate sleevings and ends twisted ... tin hat on.
