So who covers the south east ares EDF want 256.00 pounds to make it in to a PME who is respnsable for the incoming supply to a building befor the meter
I have to agree with other posters, and just make it TT. Its not such a big issue these days anyway as
nearly everything is on an rcd anyway now.Just means you should leave out the link to the sheath and install your earth spike. You are relying on your rcd for your disconnection times to be met.,and in the appropriate collumn of your paperwork insert n/a. For your earth electrode reading if I recall correctly anything over 200 ohms is considered unstable so what you are getting is very good.
There might also have to be a few other considerations to make as regards TT installations for example a metal consumer unit may not be acceptable unlesss you have a "main" rcd switch before the consumer unit; and isolation on a TT system has to be all pole(2 or 4 as the case may be)
Also maybe worth noteing is reg 542.2.5
the use,as an earth electrode,of the lead sheath or other material covering of a cable shall be subject to ALL of the following:
(1) Adequate precautions to prevent excessive deterioration by corrosion.
(2) The sheath or covering shall be in effective contact with earth.
(3) The consent of the owner of the cable shall be obtained.
(4) Arrangements shall exist for the owner of the electrical installation to be warned of any proposed change to the cable which might affect its suitability as an earth electrode.
