Discuss earthing and bonding in the Electrical Wiring, Theories and Regulations area at ElectriciansForums.net

Sorry guys, especially piccollo, been couped up for the last 2 days due to snow and ice and think I'm going stir crazy. Might be being a little pedantic.

sjm, Fair do's, As IRB stated it was a dual RCD board so all circuits would be protected by RCD, also I took it his highest Zs readings for lighting & other applicable circuits would be lower than 80% Max so disconnect times should be met. Sorry if I did not complete but as he only asked about bonding [ & I read the thread wrong to start with] other conditions were ommitted. piccollo

The disconnection times requirement to omit supplementary bonding is a bit of a misnomer....disconnection times have to be met regardless,it is a requirement....if they were'nt you would have to rectify regardless of whether you intend to install supplementary or not.....also bear in mind that if the bathroom circuits are RCD protected the required disconnection times will be met by the RCD subject to satisfactory tests...the Zs requirements of the overcurrent protective device can be ignored in these circumstances.
