I have to fit a power shower as a replacement to an existing one. The shower is rcd protected, measured zs reading is within acceptable limits, for a 0.4 second disconnection time, but the main earthing conductors to the gas and water are not up to current spec. Will I have to change them? or will they be ok left, given that the zs is ok?? cheers jim

You are confusing earthing with bonding which are two entirely different things....as the shower is a direct replacement there is no requirement to upgrade bonding.

yes, sorry i got the terminology a bit wrong. i meant bonding. ive just gone onto the niceic as a domestic installer and im still feeling my way around a bit. i dont want to make any mistakes this early on so im trying to iron out any questions i have.. thanks for that , jim
