EICR's are becoming a joke already with all these scammer schemes allowing 6 week electricians course attenders to be let loose on installations without sufficient underpinning knowledge of what they are reporting on!!

Actually there is NO requirement for scheme membership to do EICR's - in fact all you need is to demonstrate competence!

That is exactly why the standard of EICR in general is so poor.
I have lost count of the number of incorrectly coded departures and poorly described overall conditions on reports..i.e (old installation needs rewiring), (New fuseboard needed)
