Hi folks, I'm looking for a bit of advice! I'm doing an install of electric radiators & hot water cylinder which has 2 immersion heaters. Am I right in thinking that the top immersion will act as a boost as usual perhaps of an E30 electrisaver time switch & the bottom immersion to be timed to come in at the off peak times through a single channel timer via a contactor? Or can an E7 timer be used?? Any advice would be great cheers.

Electrically fired "wet" rads or storage heaters?
Usually the meter is 2 rate on E10 and the immersions are connected to 2 different breakers - bottom element to the offpeak only breaker and the top "boost" element to the "24 hour supply" and usually wired into a timed booster switch

Thanks for the reply. It's dimplex convector radiators they've gone for there's only about 4 rads throughout the house! So does the E10 meter have a seperate terminal for a meter tail for the off peak like an E7?
