Hi Guys,

New to the forum and would be glad of any help. I Cannot figure out where the immersion heater feed from the E7 Consumer unit CB goes to. There are two Immersion heaters In the Cylinder and the E7 one is not working. I opened up the timer and have L+N supply( from the CB in the Domestic Consumer unit ) and the supplies to the two heaters.

Many Thanks.

It must terminate somewhere unless it's been removed? The key to a good answer is to provide good INFORMATION. Why are you trying to identify this cable? (Fault, Leisure, addition, etc etc.) Is it your house or somewhere your working? Are the old E7 wall heaters still installed etc. etc.

With the greatest of respect. Do you want me to lift up floors and break into walls. If a cable starts at a CU it must terminate somewhere and if not at the timer where. I came on the forum to ask for help
from people who have experience of E7 and are willing to help me with my problem.

I wouldn't expect there to be a seperate timer in the circuit if it is fed from an off-peak board

Need to find the other end of the cable first
Ok, I mean this sincerely. 1) Is it your house? 2) What is the reason for tracing this cable? 3) Have you identified any other E7 circuits from the E7 consumer that are ( / NOT) in use? 4) What is your level of competence like with regard to testing? (helps folks have some vision as to how to guide you) 5) Is this a legitimate problem or are you giving us the run around?

Yes it does have a boost as you stated and yes there is only 1 incoming cable plus the 2 to the heaters. That is why I cannot understand the 1 coming from the E7 Cu as it appears not to be connected anywhere. Guys let me tell you a bit about myself. I am 63 years old and have been an Electrician since I was 16. I know a fair but bit very little about E7.
