Hi guys, I am on the EcoSkies Solar PV Installer course next week at Chesterfield. Has anyone else been on their courses??

I have confirmed with the NICEIC that they will accept the ECO Certificate but just wondered if anyone had any feedback on how the course was run etc!

Have also had to do my COSHH and Manual Handling courses (already have working at heights) as well for the NICEIC to book my assessment.

How honest do you want me to be?

I did mine there last April, and it may have improved by now - a bloke called "Mel Todd" took us - Lets just say ive learnt more on this forum and from my own research.

3 days classrom could have been condensed into 1 day. and the roofing work was 10 minutes at the end of day three.

I dont know what its like now, so please try not to be put of by what i say here, you did ask and this is my experiance.

I did the G59 course there and it was excellent. Didn't do the G83 course so I can't comment but I'd be very surprised if it wasn't considerably better than the NICEIC course.

I did the PV installer course there last month. Overall very impressed with the course content and the knowledge of the instructor (Mick Neville), I do however agree with dansk that the practical session was too short. I plan to use them again for G59 in the not too distant future.
