Hello,
If you have just gained NVQ 3 2356 do you need to do the H&S exam to recieve a ECS card or are you exempt from having to sit the exam for 5 years. I have been on the website and have noticed this on the approved exemptions list, is this correct.

no craig you dont need to do it until your card runs out, presuming you get a new gold card that will give you another 3 years grace

That makes sence as you cover health and safety on the NVQ 3, just saved me £40 and time off work thanks darkstar26.

The question is do you have a card now from the ECS JIB or not you may have to apply for the CSCS to get the card.

But as stated the card usually comes with your appretaship scheme you did.
