On a domestic Cu 60 amp would live and nuetral tails cause eddi currents of any significants if the tails were run in sperate metal conduit but then run through the same tails gland at the cu?

IM sure the answer is yes

IF the tails enter the CU through the same penetration there will be no net eddy current in the casing of the CU. You will get eddy currents in the metal wall of the single conduits, over a sufficient length this would represent a measurable loss of energy as heat. At 60A and several meters? Probably not enough to be a problem but may fall foul of regulations I'm not familiar with.

Assuming that the conduit is ferrous then yes you will get eddy currents set up in the conduit.

Its about 1 to 1.5 meters of round conduit.

Are the conduits fully seperated or are they joined at any point?

If the conduits are completely magnetically seperate then I don't think you will have any issue.

But it would still be unauthodox and I can't really see why you would do this rather than put both tails in the same conduit and just couple it to the CU as normal rather than stopping it and using a tails gland?
