EIC or MWC which onw to fill in?

Hi Guys,

Just need a confirmation of my thoughts.

Enlarged a kitchen ring main to a newly built utility room, and also the lighting circuit.

Planning want it signed off of course, which I'm thinking should be a Minor Works cert, BUT I have had to uprate the CU board to duel RCD to bring up to 17th.

So my thinking now is a full EIC for the whole building would the best option, and this would then satisfy the planners, and the customer.

I would not need to issue both would I?

full EIC as you are altering the characteristics of all circuits by replacing the CU

Technically as you have altered the ring final circuit and the lighting circuit you should issue a MEIWC for those 2 jobs, one for each seperate circuit and then an EIC for the board change. That's technically.

Personally where a job involves alterations to existing circuits and new circuits I just issue an EIC to cover all, and note which are existing and which are new on the schedule....
