May seem like a pretty silly question, but can you issue a EIC without a building regulations compliance certifcate as long as the work is non-notifiable. I am finding recently that during EICR remedial's I am having too many alterations to fit on a multiple minor works certificate so I am having to issue a EIC. I don't want to also pay for the Building regulations compliance certificate to go with this if it is not actually necessary.

Have a read of note 1 at the end of the EIC.
It actually says an EIC can be used as an alternative to multiple MWC's.
So all good 👍

Not if you're NICEIC- I did the same ie an EIC to show the BC on an extension instead of a confusing messy wallet of MWCs and on audit my inspector counted my (domestic) EICs v notifications and snagged the missmatch as improvement/evidence.

I'm future I'll just EICR it then🙄

Oh and yes, he is a massive ---. Do NIC auditors get paid extra for reviewing the further evidence they require? In the past I never had issue but the one who does me now seems utterly determined to set some piece of homework for me.
