Hi
could someone please explain part 6 on the schedule of items inspected.
many thanks

EIC = Electrical Installation Certificate
for a New Installations .. Addition to an existing installation or alteration to an existing installation

Im not sure what you call Part 6 is .. and are you looking at the Schedule of Tests Results Page.

Bit like this

I could well be wrong with this Gutterball so more replies would be good. I would read part 6 of the schedule of Inspections as being other types of protection against Electric shock, therefore if you have ADS as in domestic situations then part 6 is not applicable to you.

However... they specifically mention shaver socket which is confusing!

I must say I like the fact they have now added the regulations next to each point in the schedule of Inspections (for new installations).

Thanks Gutterball

This is the hand out that my tutor gave me..sorry i cant edit it.. CHROME is being a FOUR X and i cant work my GIMP!

That would have been EXTREMELY useful a few months ago so I have given you a thankyou anyway Duane, but unfortunately for the last few weeks we have a different 'schedule of Inspections (for new Installations) to complete :D (see page 5)

Duane! Youve now gone off on a tangent! That is Part 6 on a schedule form for an EICR not an EIC (see page 5 of the link I sent you).

As said before, I read Item No. 6 of the schedule of Inspections (for new installations) as relating to your main form of basic and fault protection which is ADS, therefore this section is generally N/A in a domestic setting. It's a pity Mr D.Skelton isn't still writing as I think this is something he could have shed some light on.
