I've been told to do 30 circuits per day eicr in a fully operational industrial unit !!! Total 110 circuits in 4 days plus amtech cert! Is this even possible ??

There's a newbie on My Builder who should be able to blitz through this lot in about an hour. This is what he is claiming:
I am a qualified electrician with over 10 years experience predominantly in domestic rewiring. I have rewired over 2000 properties of all shapes and sizes all over the country.
TWO THOUSAND rewires in just ten years equates to four rewires a week, every week over a ten-year period. Aye right.

That is exactly what I would normally do if there is actually a fused connection unit present, but in several of the properties that I've tested, the inaccessible appliance is being supplied from a socket located directly behind the appliance. I wholeheartedly agree with you that sockets should not be fitted in inaccessible areas behind appliances.

Under a eicr would you c2 that " not readily accessible" behind that unremovable appliance.?

He was on this forum a couple of years ago claiming the same . Forget the name , he was a right treat .

The super-spark to whom you refer is actually someone else. He's on My Builder too!

Indeed, the number of extraordinarily gifted young super-sparks touting for business on My Builder is impressive. Apart from the ones who can do four rewires a week, there are others who are able to determine the condition of an installation and assess its earthing and bonding arrangements without having first made a site visit prior to quoting for a consumer unit changeover. Most impressive indeed. Who needs regulation 132.16 when you have been blessed with the quite remarkable gift of remote viewing?

Then there are the extremely-talented ones who are able to carry-out EICRs despite having little practical experience and no relevant qualifications to this end. Amazing. Why bother wasting hundreds of pounds studying for a qualification in inspection and testing when you just learn it as you go along from YouTube videos and the jobs you win on My Builder?

Although the item is not testing electrical cables there us generally a croc clip on the pat testers which you can put onto the metalwork to prove metalwork is earthed properly without pat testing item its just really a functional test that item is earthed

I work for a certain housing association and we're given specific time slots depending on the size of property maximum of three properties a day, as said previously this is repetitive work so we're pretty sure it's all ok unless the tnt "used to be a sparks" and we find stuff that shouldn't be there. To be honest I couldn't do a 1 bed flat with 5 circuits in 40 minutes!! Especially with filling the forms aswell as any discrepencies!! Someone's taking the Michael! ! We are also aware that there is a certain national company that issue there sparks with their own 1 page test sheets that only take Ze, PFC and rcd results!! I've seen these guys in action and reported them when we got the full certificate filled in with extra non existent circuits on the Full test results...
