I've got my first Elecsa assessment next week and i've just finished a CU change which included 2 new rings and an upgraded shower circuit. I hit a few problems along the way and i've run out of time and can't fit the 2 new lighting circuits before the assessment. Do you think the assessor will be okay with the fact that the installation isn't 100% finished? Should i bother filling in the EIC or will he be happy with me doing some testing in front of him?

The assessor will be fine with the CU change and additional circuits. I would complete all the tests beforehand. The assessor will ask you test some of them again.

Good luck, with the assessment, if you have done your job properly it will be a sinch.

You will need to finish all testing, fill in all relevant forms, and attach the relevant stickers to the cu.
I know, as I failed my first assessment because of not finishing the testing before energising the circuits - that's an instant fail as it is unsafe.
Finish off what you have started, get that inspected, then do the other circuits at a later date.
Alan.

Ive had 2 Elecsa assessments and both assessors were more than helpfull and really want you to pass as long as you know what you are doing, test what you have done and fill in your EIC and you shoud be fine, good luck.

Definately complete EIC beforehand as he will check this and also check / compare results as you retest for him. Any circuits untested should be safely left disconnected from cu. Make sure all stickers on CU in place and printed circuit schedule nearby.
