Hi everyone
I have my Elecsa assessment tomorrow afternoon and I really don't know what to expect in terms of how the actual assessors are? I'm really nervous about the whole thing to be honest and want to get it over and done with lol. Any tips that you can recommend?

Cheers

Toby :)
they will just ask some questions that even a turnip could answer.....
its all designed for you to pass....there`l be stuff like where to drill joists....and safe zones for cables....
as for the testing they will probably want to see you do a Ze....and maybe test an RCD....hardly taxin is it...lol...
then it`l be tea n biscuits...

There's your answer right there....He (presumptious I know!) will want to be away sharpish on a Friday afternoon....hope the sun comes out to make it sharper!!
yeah...this is what it`l be...
he will be more interested in beer than standing there watching someone doing a loop test...

Assuming you know which end to hold a screwdriver and dont do something daft like electrocute the assessor you cant fail. I`ve done 7 Elecsa assessments and the only hard thing is writing the cheque every year. My dog could pass it.

Passed with no problems! Got an A with no observations :) well pleased. I was shocked by the little amount of testing he asked me to demonstrate. Did R1 + R2 test on radial sockets and RCD test. No worries!!

Well done for passing :), however I expect you can see why sparks who have had to do an AM2 and 2391 are miffed by the state of the industry!

Thanks mate!! :) Definitely!!! Now of course you need an NVQ 3 to register, so that should help in the long run...? I'm hoping to do the 2395/2395 next year, I really want the NVQ 3 but that depends on whether I get in with a company... Also the AM2!! :)

I complete the 2330 level 3 in June :)

Well done man,

Easy peasy eh! Hope mine is, haha!

Dont bother with the NVQ.....it's a tin pot qualification IMO. Get your inspection and testing.. Thats a proper qualification that many find tricky to pass, including me!
My arm was aching like hell at the end of the written exam.
