Elecsa assessment

Hi all,

I am new to the site and this is my first post. I have my first elecsa assessment this week, and looking for any advice from other members who have recently had theres. What sort of questions will the assessor be asking? Will he be asking me to show him cable calcs etc?

The jobs I am showing him are CU change and a new ring main circuit, will he just ask me to show him tests on the new circuit or will I have to show him tests on the other circuits which I did not install, like lighting and shower circuits?

Any advice would be helpfull, as feeling the nerves a little now lol

I had mine last week - passed!
The assessor asked me to calc the amperage and then size of cable required for a shower of a given kw.
also asked about labels to be attached to a new CU (test rcd, mixed wiring warning, date of next inspection).
I di a complete EIC for a CU change so all circuits tested.
asked a few questions about building regs - no of energy efficient lights in new house, height of sockets & switches
all really straight forward stuff, no tricks.
only asked to test Ze and R1R2 on a ring.
checked all documentation was in order and insurance cert.

Thanks Andy, congratulations on passing your assessment. Thanks for the response its helped make things a little clearer on the assessment. I have mine this thursday fingers crossed it will go ok
