You're showing your age now!I used to like sparks. That bloke who played the keyboard and looked like Hitler.
Yep they were brothers believe it or not.
Out of interest, if you run cat 5 and swa down the same trunking are you going to affect the cat 5 data signal?
Good point....Hopefully someone will know. Possibly not a constant load, but could be if any lights by gate entrance etc.
Make sure you purchase a good quality electric swing gate system, or you'll be a regular visitor to this job, and all unpaid under warranty for a year!! lol!! These electric gate systems can be your worst nightmare, so choose with extreme caution!! lol!!
They're still going, as good as ever. And he still does a bit.I used to like sparks. That bloke who played the keyboard and looked like Hitler.
You got to love them...I want this, this and this but I haven't made a choice yet so can't give you anything to work on.
Bless them, they think we're magicians.
You say you think 2.5 SWA may be overkill, you also say the customer is very fickle in deciding what they want.
Are you sure about 2.5?
Ducting will also be required between the posts for transmitter/receiver etc.
Boydy
we tend to use belden (yy or twisted pair) for indoor intercoms etc, armoured twisted pair has been around for a few years now, im not sure exactly how longThanks for advice......yes will be in ducting. I tend to use Polyduct from Jewsons or the larger double wall rib ducting that just slots together.
Good shout about SWA cat 5 cable though. I was unaware that it even existed. what did sparks use in the past for intercom etc years a go?
