Hi all I was hoping I could get some advise, I have been out of work since October and I would like to get into the Electrical trade are there any Electrical courses in the Leicester area which are funded by the government.

Some colleges offer a reduction in fees if you're claiming JSA, but you don't get that through the jobcentre. It depends on the college.so the government keep releasing statements about unemployment being at an all time high but they aren't offering any incentives or grants to help people get qualified for the good jobs
Cheers for all your replies guys, so what courses in order would you recommend doing to get me on the road to being an electrician, ideally I would like to setup my own business working for myself, I have heard that CFA or something like that is replacing C&G... the reason I ask is that I have been doing to Leicester College and they do offer funding towards courses but they are full until January and thats when the tutor said the new qualification will be available so he wasn't sure on what courses would be available yet.
