Yes Danny that's my philosophy, nothing sinister just like to know who and what I am dealing with, to enable me to form an opinion as to how to answer any questions, that may come along.

I updated mine after your post about it ,makes sense as it’s there for a reason like you say so you know what your advising isn’t going above heads

Good man, I always check profiles, for that very reason, the lack of information is more than likely an over site, but when, someone answers when asked what electrical qualifications they have, and the answer is: enough, all of them, relevant to an Electrical inspector, alarm bells ring, may be I'm being overcautious I'm not sure, been let down a lot, as a Manager, by people telling me porkies without checking, guess it's an age thing.

That's it is it? any installation, site experience included in that Stspark, or is that qualification just a prerequisite? Thanks for your input.

I would accept your thinking,as an employer,it would be a guide,but a guide only.
On a forum profile,you may either look like a show-off,or a new born baby,but a list of quals,would never be my basis of any formed opinion,on an individual.

In too many situations,i have had an individual,presented to me with a list of achievements,who turned out to be ballast.

I have probably met as many,with little or no formal quals,who were not only excellent,but passed on their knowledge,quietly and selflessly.

Anyone who wants to see what's in my love-box, can visit and share a brew - otherwise,who cares?

(By the way,a "love-box",is a secure container of some description,which contains items of a valuable,personal and treasured nature - NOT what you lot were thinking... )

Level 4 seems to be the minimum for an elec inspector. Along with significant experience. This is dependant on the sector though as the term inspector will be used for various roles, from glorified eicr's to specialist niche areas. For example- inspectors for insurance companies, oil/gas e+i, compex, marine, medical, hv, aviation, hse.
