electrical installaion condition PDF

Help...... (if you can)
downloaded the electrical installation condition report PDF off the forum (thanks for that, whoever did it) but after filling out the form i can't lock the form to stop the customer altering when i've e-mailed the report to them.
I'm the first to admit i'm a ludite (don't like techy things) and i'm probably going to have a red face when someone explains how easy it is!!!

What program are you using to handle or edit pdf files?

I am using adobe acrobat, in that after the form is filled out I go to Advanced, then Security, then Encrypt with password.
After adding the password change as attached.

Thanks for the reply mark, i am using the most up to date adobe acrobat sorry for being thick but i cannot find the page you have posted there. once you have filled the form out where did you find advanced?

If i right click on the saved file, then go to properties, find security and then advanced it looks nothing like your screen.

Advanced is in the top header bar (right at the top of the screen) when you have the PDF open, then drop down to Security, then Encrypt with password.

Miner69er, are you using the full version of Adobe Acrobat or are you using the Adobe Acrobat Reader free version? There's a substantial difference between to two versions especially when it comes to the editing tools.

You have to print the finished form, as a PDF.
Click on print, and when your print window comes up, click on the arrow to the right of the printer name, and from the drop down menu click on Adobe PDF.
You will then get a window come up, where you can choose a name, and where to save it.
You can then Email the saved PDF.

That is not working for me, only works if the file that I want to save is NOT a PDF to start with.

Which version of Acrobat do you have?
Mine is X Pro.

Its acrobat 9 pro from the CS4.

You'll have to get the newer version from CS5 I guess.

I'm sure Acrobat 9 will do this assuming the file doesn't have security setting the prevent it. When you try to save the edited file have you given it a different name?

Is the saved one you create NON-editable when the customer receives it?
