Does anyone know where I can find a comprehensive list of all the symbols architects use on plans? Have a job to price and some of the symbols are new to me and there's no legend!

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum,
I could use a hand if anyone is game, I'm an apprentice H+V service and maintenance engineer. This is part of a assignment I have been given. In the photo below there is a control circuit for a shunt pump. I understand that to the left under where it says shunt there is a selector switch. My confusion is with the next component to the right of it. It is a single pole, double throw switch. What I don't understand is the means of actuation of that switch, the coloured part of the switch symbol above and the letters O/L (online? overload? open loop?). I think it must have something to do with the over load of the shunt pump. Perhaps an auxiliary switch on the overload, where if the overload trips then it would take the contactor "S1" out and display a fail lamp "IL16". I have been scouring the net for hours and I can't find a match for the symbol for that switch. So really I need to know what that symbol represents and what the O/L stands for.

Many thanks

Hi Juls,

the component to the right ( marked OL) is the auxilliary contact of the motor overload switch, the component to the left ( SW9 )iis the selector switch.
It has three positions pump 1,off, pump 2.
