A brain teaser that popped up in the Sun circa 1970 caused major rows in the local socials snooker room. I couldn't believe how many folks couldn't do simple division. It went:

I got one too. Being a natural lateral thinker that was easy for me, but some people just can't think laterally. That isn't to say they aint smart though, one of my best mates is probably one of the most intelligent people you could ever meet and yet he gets even simple sums very wrong.
