No problem jock. It was an old thread until some spammers sent message after message and resurrected it.

It’s reminding me of a more recent job where I fitted 4 downlights in a perfect straight line on a lath ceiling, only for the customer to be convinced by her joiner that the ceiling needed strapped and boarded.
Then it became 4 downlights in a straight line AND perfectly matching with the holes above.

And an extra 500 quid probably,and the rest with taping etc
