Em lighting

Someone at work as wired the lights into klick roses which is correct but in one of the rooms with only one light in it as been wired as a 3pin klick which is a normal fitting yet it should be a 4pin obv em light, the floor above as been laid and no way of pulling an em feed to it now, is it ok to just put a link in from ya switched to unswitched so this sure will still charge the em light, but don't it just mean you can put it in test mode with killing the power totally but will still work if power failure? Is this the best thing to do and is it exceptable on an industrail site

If the light was not used the emergency light would not charge
Because it had no supply it would also be in operation condition,this should only occur under test
So the light will discharge regularly,not good

Unless you are unable to find a permanent feed,i would suggest modifying the switch to a key switch for test of the em light and using that for your permenent feed
You are then left with no control over the light,because it has no switch
If it is nigh on impossible to get any wires in,then that can be overcome by remote swith and reciever

You could also do as des suggests but use the feed from key switch to supply a pir sensor and then take sw supply from this.
