I take it Camerabloke from the tone of your reply you are referring to the OP, at least I hope you are I gave up smoking 6 years ago.

I think we're agreed that light is a wave/partical duality, and that it will impart energy into a body it collides with.
How big would this light bulb be?
The sun is ginormous light bulb, so how can our man made satellites aren't being propelled out to the farthest reaches of the solar system?

They would be inluenced Archy but not in the dramatic way you expressed well - be it for the fact they are locked in orbit under the gravitational pull of the earth + in our solar system there are a minefield of gravitational influences including the sun itself

The European Community has a lot to answer for, don't you think?
satellite-------L--------bulb---------------2L-------satellite Po = zero !!!please turn on bulb ( satellite mass m ) Pleft= mV1 ....Pright = mV2 ONLY IDIOTS NOT SEE PROBLEM FOR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS [video=youtube_share;Bw8MQHS-xl8]http://youtu.be/Bw8MQHS-xl8[/video]

GEEK ? ILUSTRATION = UNIVERSAL LANGUE here You have perfect English ( Nasa raport - for me the ARE greek :) :)

Answer me this question, without googling the answer, and I'll start taking you seriously.

If the sun loses (by fusion) 4x10[SUP]9[/SUP] kg of it's mass per second , how much energy hits the Earth per second?
Take the radius of Earth's orbit as 150x10[SUP]6[/SUP] km, radius of Earth as 6371 km.

Just think in pure Energy produced, to keep it simple. :)
