having enrolled myself onto an electricians course at the end of jan, after deciding on a complete career change of baker/retail worker in the 25 years since leaving high school (electrician was the second choice of career when finnishing high school), after 7 months of reading books/submitting assignments, I finally started weekend practical classes end of aug,
having so far only passed "city and guilds 2365-02-601 health and safety in building services engineering"

with "city and guilds 2392-10-101/102 fundamental inspection, testing and initial verification" online and practical assesment
and "city and guilds 2365-02-204 installation of wiring systems and enclosures" booked for the end of oct/beginning of nov
with the rest of the city and guilds exams/assesments yet to be booked,

I am starting to look for work, or to be more exact, experience in the trade as i am currently in a situation where i a starting from scratch in a new trade, and with the lack of useable qualifictions, or experience, i am fully aware that my options are limited, so i am wondering what is the best advice that anyone could give me as to what sort of work to aim for?

many thanks for any help you can offer.

Speak to local electricians. As you're looking to start from scratch it might be an idea to try small operations to see if they might give you part time work as an extra set of hands/labourer, from where you could start learning.
