En suite lighting

I have an ensuite to wire. The chap wants downlighters in the wall inside the shower cubicle (zone1). The wall is 3inch in depth. Would ip65 downlighters be ok? and would these need to be fite rated or could noraml ones be used as these are not as deep??

He also wants a few downlighters in the ceiling, however its a droma bung and no roof space above. Theres a 20 mm air gab and 100mm of kingspan insulation. Would it be ok to cut a hole in this-Fire hazard?? would fire rated downlighters need to be used. I thought of using LED lamps as these dont get very hot.

i would go with fire rated as there doesnt seem to be much space above to let heat escape although fire rated could be quite deep and you might not have the space above maybe leds are the way to go

I read this the other day, but never got round to doing some searching.
Personally, I would treat a shower cubicle as a zone 0. I know it probably isn't, but I would. Wall lights in a shower, never done that before but I would tend to go for something like the Aurora submersible lights, designed for baths etc.

As for the ceiling, I had a similar problem with my en suite, I had a bloody great joist in the way, I ended up installing a slim 16w 2d fitting, IP66 on the ceiling rather than a down lighter. I personally wouldn't go slicing through the insulation, but I'm sure some would.
