I imagine I have wired the circuit and work it out, after 30 years I very seldom get it wrong, it's not exactly rocket science, sorry but there you are

R2 method (long lead) may give you the answer but what I find when doing PIRs /ECIRs is that the CPCs are often linked across different lighting circuits at the switches, so you may end up in a pickle.
The best you can do is test at the furthest physical point and assume that you have a reasonable estimate of R2. You could, of course, do a quick calculation by estimating the length, knowing the csa of the conductors and compare that with your R2 readings.

R2 the way to go with wander lead.
you could also test at the switch this might give you some sort of hint to the furthest point.
if its for a EICR then state in the limitations that the lights weren't removed due to damage it may cause

Put it in limitations.... then take a educated guess and take result or you will spend all day not scratching your head and testing instead..... if the reading is close to permitted values then yes best to find the end of line but if your many ohms clear i wouldn't worry too much.

The same as MDJ , but only if i am sure that there are no signs of any alterations at all on the installation !

Other than that i prefer to see each fitting checked out just in case of multiple branch joints being present , i sometimes even take the check it all approach even if no alterations are present but this does depend on the quality of the original install .

It does take a considerably longer but we only price for a full test , and despite what the drive by boys like to say , a full test will take you a DAY anyway !

finding the end of line during testing of blackpools piers is a doddle , its the sea lol.

if for a Eicr , then just take a few random Zs readings at points furthest from the db and used the highest for your R1+2 test , best you can do with most unfamiliar lighting circuits.

As above :)
