Engraved kitchen isolators (switched spurs, 32a DP , 20a DP)....

Can you get bespoke one offs, without paying the earth ?

I've got a few non standard items that's all, and want it to look the business as I've got x9 of them going together in a cupboard.

I would normally print off a sticky label but going a bit OCD on this job, as it's going to be quite a special one.

Thank you,

Sy

Our local trophy shop does ours, ÂŁ1 per item no min order, they also do traffolyte labels for DBs etc..

Tried doing some metal clad MK spurs and it didnt work the enamel just flaked off.

Why do you want these plates to ''look the business'' if you have stuck them in a cupboard?? Pretty pointless exercise!! lol!!

I would normally print off a sticky label but going a bit OCD on this job, as it's going to be quite a special one.

And also was thinking ok if its maybe around ÂŁ15'ish mark this would save me trying to line up all those fiddly little labels, hate 'faffing around' trying to do that especially with 10 x plates altogether!

Yeah maybe a bit crazy but I know. In the end the did go for labels and looked fine, went to 2 x local engravers and both were gonna charge be ÂŁ5/per plate : ÂŁ50

My Ex father-in-law did mine, he was an undertaker. They usually have the gear for engraving the plaques.
Chat up your local undertaker, you may get discount when your time comes.

BTW they have a great sense of fun, I got invited to an undertakers social in Manchester. I was rat arsed!
BBTW the wife was chuffed to bits with the new fireplace until she found out where the materials had come from!

My foster father was an undertaker,I used to go there saturday mornings to help service the cars, when i was a lad 40 years ago.Never aloud in the ice room, but watching them line a coffin ready for use was spooky.

Brass? There’re plastic!

Took my father to his brothers funeral.
As the curtains closed he turned to me, in typical Derbyshire dialect “they dunner bur good wood like tha do em”.
No dad it’s cardboard.
He sat quiet for a moment and then came out with: “Wot do thee do wit andles”.
At that point I burst out laughing.
I wasn’t the flavour of the month with the family!

Won't let you in the back these days, all those brass plates & handles.lol
Last year I had a job rigging dedicated circuits for the fridges in an undertakers. You think it's creepy when live people are close at hand while you're working?
As someone said the people who worked there all had a wicked sense of humour, must be the only way they can get through the day
