Equipotential or supplementary bonding

<div class="bbWrapper">Hi all I&#039;ve read a few historic posts but am still a bit confused. Would anyone mind giving me some advice on my specific setup? See photo attached of my plumbing. The cold water incomer into my flat is in plastic (alkathene I think), into a cupboard where it swiches to copper after the stopcock, going in and out of my hot water immersion cylinder. From around 1m from the cylinder, all the distribution pipework is then in plastic again.<br /> <br /> In the bathroom that plastic run continues all the way to the shower and sink. As you can see in the photo, the last little bit of pipework to the sink and shower (and bath) goes back to copper.<br /> <br /> Can I just check I don&#039;t need to bond that copper back to anything? <div class="bbWrapper">It’s pointless bonding anything together where there’s plastic pipes or fittings inbetween…..<br /> <br /> That said, the electrics within the bathroom should all be RCD protected, which you haven’t mentioned.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">That waste arrangement is a recipe for basin water coming up into the shower tray and/or plenty of gurgling noises.</div>
