Has anyone got any thoughts regarding Hybrid and electric cars. Will we all be driving around in electric cars in 5 years

Hey Jason fitted quite a few over the past year. Hotels and service stations being the big purchasers but have just taken an order for 32 for a housing association and a couple of factories in South Wales. Defiantly be seeing more going in over the next five years personally .

There is a new C&G course coming up soon as well, 3 day course i believe, which will be required to install these chargers.

Here's a thought - in china sales of electric bikes are on course to overtake car sales in the next year or 2, yet there's currently virtually zero market for them in the UK... in terms of cheap / free to run modes of transport to soak up excess PV generation as an alternative to the car for short runs, I reckon there could well be a decent market for them in the UK.

Lot's being installed in Dublin.
High amperage kit so mistakes must not happen or the sparks will fly! After 3 days training the insurance company will cover you.

you mean 16amp 230volt.

Not just a course. A 3 day course. What on Earth can it be covering, really?

I think the need for these additional courses reflects on the level and quality of the current training especially the short course graduates
