Hi

Doncaster EV ultra cable:

Does anyone know what the current capacity of these cables is given particular reference methods?

The spec sheet just says 'Max current' 45amps (for the 4mm) but it doesn't state the reference method.

The manufacturer does have a very handy cable calculator tool but I'm not sure which category of cable the EV ultra falls into.

Many thanks

It's 90 degree thermosetting multicore so table 4E2A applies (subject to 90 degree operation being possible)
If its the armoured version then 4E4A.

Obviously if you're limited to a conductor operating temperature of 70C then you'd need to use the appropriate 70C tables.
