Hi 3 houses knocked into 1.
Owner requires a secondary electric cooker situated at the far end. They have gas electric cooker and shower is run off oil so it is fine to have extra cooker.
However due to getting the cable to the far end of the property they want the cable to this cooker run external along the stone wall of the house then through the wall to the cooker switch.

Is it ok to run outside and what do you recommend?

Cheers

Not in T&E it isn't!! Whatever you use it's going to look like a right Pigs Ear...

Ive had to do this before for water and gas bond, low level black conduit with terminal boxes didn't look too bad ........

Try getting any kind of conduit to run flat on a stone wall, there normally all over the place ...talk about waves on the ocean!! ...lol!!!

EDIT.... probably if you must use this route on a stone wall, then MICC would be the a better option both aesthetically and for durability!!!

well its gonna have to be tube, which, depending on the run ie any corners etc length? would be a pig to get 6mm through or run it in SWA.

I just did a job where the customer wanted a new mid level socket in his living room for new flatscreen tv but wanted his skybox and bluray in the cupboard under the stairs which he needed a new socket in too, he also needed HDMI run between and also BT and Satellite cables, but gues what? he didnt want any chasing, trunking, or anything on show inside, i even said i could pull the skirting off and chasing it in behind then put it back but he didnt go for it, he wanted it all run along the outside wall!! I made it as neat as i could

Ahhh, THAT'S why the time served spark just ran the 6mm low level round outside without protecting from the sunlight, fauna and mechanical damage. I assumed it was because he couldn't be bothered :)

Apart from protection from UV light, fauna and mechanical damage you'd need to be living in a Pikey-free zone.

I know what you mean Marvo.

My girlfriend is a Pikey lass - always nicking the lead off the church roof when she should be at home making me tea !!! :nonod:

Shopping's nightmare too. We went to Sainsbury's before Christmas & she came out with a turkey stuffed doon her knickers !

That's the first time I've seen two fat birds in one pair of knickers.

Try getting it to look as well as you made that look on an old stone house wall, no chance!! lol!! Churches are bad enough, and there stone work is of a far higher level...

Some of these house holders really do need help, who in there right mind would want to spoil the look of a Red Brick house by having cables running all over it!!!
