Hi 3 houses knocked into 1.
Owner requires a secondary electric cooker situated at the far end. They have gas electric cooker and shower is run off oil so it is fine to have extra cooker.
However due to getting the cable to the far end of the property they want the cable to this cooker run external along the stone wall of the house then through the wall to the cooker switch.

Is it ok to run outside and what do you recommend?

Cheers

i`d get the barrel stripper n crimper etc out here...together with a roll of MICC......will look better when its weathered down and as soon as it starts to blend in will start to look less conspicious n all (gypsies)....

so what colour sleeving would 6mm MICC have then? orange? or if it is unsleeved then the pikeys really would love a nice copper "pipe" running along the building lol
until they cut into it!

For a start, you probably wouldn't need 6mm MICC, check your tables for MICC ratings. Secondly you can get MICC cables in several colours for it's outer covering, including white and grey, which will blend better than most of the other bright colours....

Yes thanks for the replies. They are not too bothered what it looks as it would be run on the back wall of the house in the stable yard. It is just not practical to run inside as it will have to go through many rooms to get to the cooker point. By going outside the time to do and disruption and mess will be minimal.. Yes i was thinking of doing it in conduit but it looks kind of industrial on an old stone house but the owner wants it run outside and safetly. But cost is the main factor not how it looks. Cheapest I guess would be conduit with t and e inside.
